Signs Of Safety Multi-Agency Briefing Session

This half day briefing session is for members of the workforce who work predominantly with children, young people and/or their parents/carers and who could potentially contribute to assessing, planning, intervening and reviewing the needs of a child and the parenting capacity where there are safeguarding concerns.
The aim of this briefing is to raise awareness of the Signs of Safety approach which now underpins West Sussex County Council's work with children and families.
If you apply what you have learnt on this briefing you will be able to:

  • Acquire an overview of the Signs of safety approach and the tools used throughout the Child protection process
  • Acquire practical knowledge and application of the 3 columns framework, mapping process, scaling and Danger Statement
  • Recognise how this will impact upon your professional working and your agency/organisation
